Atlast the star himself is coming out on regressive ‘Poster’ war and even apologized for the same. Mahesh babu stepped back and apologized, if that poster hurt the sentiments of anyone.
On a recent interview to a tabloid, Mahesh opened up about the poster controversy, saying “That poster is not controversial. But there is a lyric in that song ‘Oka ganta fish Padadhaama’, and to match the lyric, they composed it that way. It might look regressive and offensive in poster, but everything would be normal when we see the song on screen. It was not intentional to hurt anyone, but its a mistake..my apologies for that”.
The issue begun at the end of Samantha’s tweet saying ” Saw a poster of a yet to be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but it’s point is actually that it is deeply regressive”. Mahesh fans and Samantha had a rigorous tweet fight that lasted for few days in which Siddharth too was dragged.
Meanwhile, Director Sekhar Kammula came in support of Samantha for her tweets and this time he named it as the poster of 1 Nenokkadine, pulling the dispute back. Mahesh fans declared war on Sekhar kammula too. Seems like Mahesh babu has put an end to this controversy with his recent comments and apologies.
